Highlighting the Jewish Community's Involvement in Rebuilding New Orleans

This site is hosted by AVODAH: The Jewish Service Corps, which launched its New Orleans program in the fall of 2008. AVODAH engages young people in direct work on the causes and effects of poverty in the United States. This work partners Corps members with service providers and residents in low income communities and equips our Corps members and alumni to emerge as lifelong agents for social change, whose work for justice is rooted in and nourished by Jewish values.

Thank You!

Thank you for making a difference. Thank you for supporting AVODAH.

Your gift is invaluable to us. Through your donation you are mobilizing a new generation of young Jews seeking to change the world and themselves through direct work on poverty issues. Your support directly funds our year-long program which recruits young Jewish adults to spend a year working full-time at anti-poverty organizations. Your donation also helps us develop a cadre of leaders who will commit themselves to working as advocates and organizers on social justice issues within and beyond the Jewish community.

Regardless of whether you can give a small donation or a larger one, your financial contribution will bring us one step creating a generation of Jewish leadership devoted to social change.

All of the people that we serve—children, the elderly, the impoverished, and those without a voice—thank you.

AVODAH is a tax-exempt non-profit 501(c)(3) organization under the Internal Revenue code. Any donation you make is tax-deductible.
